How often is your basmati rice price list updated?

The published indicative bands are reviewed quarterly. The actual live rate card sent to wholesale buyers is updated weekly, in line with current paddy mandi rates and stock position.

Why do prices vary by pack size?

Smaller pack sizes (1 kg, 5 kg) carry higher per-kg packing material cost (laminated pouch + carton + retail-grade printing). Bulk packs (25 kg, 50 kg jute / BOPP) have lower material cost per kg, which is why their per-kg rate is lower.

Do prices include GST?

Indicative bands shown are ex-mill, exclusive of GST. Branded packed basmati attracts 5% GST. Loose / bulk basmati in 25 kg+ packs is currently exempt from GST as per applicable notifications. The rate card sent to you will show inclusive and exclusive figures clearly.

Can the price be locked for several months?

Yes — for HoReCa, distributor and private-label accounts with predictable volumes we offer 3-month, 6-month and 12-month price-lock contracts that hedge you against peak-season rate spikes.

Order quantity — larger orders unlock better per-kg rates. Container loads typically beat single-pallet pricing by 6–12 %.
Pack format — jute / BOPP woven bag is cheaper than printed laminated pouches due to material and labour cost.
Aging window — 12-month aged basmati is priced 8–15 % above current-crop. 24-month aged premium even higher.
Payment terms — 100 % advance unlocks the best price. Credit (7 / 15 / 30 day) carries a 1–3 % carrying-cost adjustment.
Destination & freight — domestic FOR (free on road) and export FOB / CIF rates are shared separately on the rate card.
Custom branding — private label adds artwork, plate & pack-material differential. Quoted transparently.
