What does export quality actually mean? It means each batch passes a battery of laboratory tests before it ever reaches the container yard. Moisture content is measured to 0.1 percent precision (must be under 13.5 percent). Broken grain percentage is verified at under 2 percent. Foreign matter, damaged grains, chalky grains and discoloured kernels are all individually counted. Aflatoxin levels are tested using HPLC equipment and certified to be well within international safety limits. Heavy metals, microbiological parameters and pesticide residues across 200+ chemical compounds are all independently verified. Only after all these tests pass does the rice get colour-sorted by laser optical sorters and packed for export.
