For decades, jute and polypropylene (PP) woven bags have been the workhorses of bulk basmati rice packaging — and for good reasons. Jute is a renewable natural fibre, fully biodegradable, sustainable, and breathable — letting the rice "settle" without trapping moisture. It's the traditional choice for export markets and for retail-direct B2B where the bag is part of the brand experience. PP woven (with food-grade BOPP lamination) is the modern choice — lighter, lower per-bag cost, water-resistant, available in highly customisable printing, and excellent for institutional and HoReCa channels where the bag is opened in the kitchen and discarded. Most B2B buyers use a mix: jute for premium / export shipments, PP for bulk volume / domestic operations.

For bulk B2B basmati, the two universal pack sizes are 25 kg and 50 kg. 25 kg is the most popular for HoReCa kitchens (easier to handle, fits standard kitchen storage, faster FIFO rotation), modern-trade B2B shelves, and smaller-format wholesalers. 50 kg is preferred by large institutions, export shipments (better stowage in containers), and high-volume catering operations. The visible bag (jute or PP) is only the outer layer. Inside, every Lababdar bulk bag has an inner liner — typically food-grade LDPE (low-density polyethylene) for moisture resistance and food-contact safety, occasionally HDPE for export shipments needing higher barrier protection. The liner is heat-sealed at the top after filling and before stitching, creating a sealed inner pack that protects the rice through transport and handling. For export shipments to humid climates (Africa, South-East Asia), we offer optional silica-gel sachets inside the liner to control moisture spike.

For B2B clients who want their brand on the bag, we offer custom printing on both jute and PP woven bags: (a) Single colour — most economical, suitable for wholesale and B2B; (b) Two-colour — common for distributor brands; (c) Full-colour BOPP-laminated PP — premium retail-grade print quality on the durability of woven PP. Setup costs are one-time (typically Rs 30,000–80,000 for screen / cylinder origination) and per-bag printing cost adds Rs 4–22 per bag depending on complexity. Standard order quantities for custom printing start at 1,000 bags (5 MT for 50 kg, 2.5 MT for 25 kg).

Every Lababdar bulk bag carries the regulatory information required by Indian law and destination-country rules: net weight in kg, manufacturer's name and address, FSSAI license number, batch number, manufacturing month and year, best before, country of origin (India), nutritional information (where required by destination), allergen declaration, and any market-specific marking (Halal logo for Middle East, organic certification for organic SKUs, etc.). For export bags, additional markings like consignee's name, destination country, container number, and stowage marks are added at the port-side stuffing stage.
